Marlborough is delighted to announce a £350,000 project award from main Contractor Willmott Dixon to build a new leisure centre at Horwich near Bolton.
Work on the package will start in January 2017 and run for a 16 week contract period. The brand new facility will include:
In addition, a new health facility will be built on the site and the scheme has been redesigned to take this into account.
Bolton Community Leisure Trust and Bolton Council are jointly funding the scheme to encourage more people to be more active and live longer healthier lives.
The modern facilities will encourage more people to take up sports and leisure and help build better links with schools and clubs which will promote healthier habits and reduce anti-social behaviour.
The Marlborough team will be lead by Project Leader, Noel Ryan and Project Manager, Andy Evans, who both worked on the successful Flemingate Development for Willmott Dixon in Beverley. Paul Donnelly, Managing Director, commented “The hard work and collaborative team approach that we have developed at Marlborough was recognized through the Willmott Dixon Quality Award which we received following the successful completion at Flemingate. Willmott Dixon is a key client for us and we are delighted that the hard work put in by the team has led to this repeat order.”
