Project Award: Nottingham Academy - Jesse Boot & Elliott Durham Schools

Nottingham AcademyMarlborough has been awarded the brickwork and blockwork contracts on Jesse Boot and Elliott Durham Schools by Carillion Building. These schools, along with an additional site at Greenwood Dale, will be merged to create ‘all-through’ education provision as the new Nottingham Academy, the biggest school in Europe. The £54m Nottingham Academy is being delivered by Carillion and inspiredspaces along with their partners in the LEA and will provide for 3600 students from age 3 to 19, and be serviced by 200 teachers and 100 administrative staff.

The Jesse Boot site will cater for 800 primary and 1200 secondary pupils in this new build 1-2 storey facility, whilst Elliott Durham will provide spaces for over 1000 secondary pupils through remodeling and refurbishment of the existing buildings.

Marlborough has an established track record in the education sector having completed over 40 schools in the last 6 years and has just completed work with Carillion on the Bulwell Academy and Nottingham University Samworth Academy.
